C. P. Mammen
CP Mammen is the Founder and Managing Director of CCS Technologies, a company he set up in 1980 with just 3 employees. At that time, IT & Software were relatively unheard of in India and CCS was amongst the first such companies in the country. CCS currently has 300+ employees spread across three centers and carrying multiple service portfolios, including cutting edge technological services like Cloud and Mobility.
An Entrepreneur by nature, Mammen is also the Founder and Managing Director of Mr. Butler’s Group of Companies, the first company in Asia to introduce Home Soda-makers. Prior to this, he was in the business of manufacturing liquid Carbon Dioxide where he designed and set up the first plant in Kerala to manufacture pure Carbon Dioxide from waste gas generated from large fertilizer plants.
Mammen was the President of the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industries and is a Charter member of TIE, Kerala. He has a degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. He enjoys reading, movies and travelling.
Chief Executive Officer
Raj joined CCS as Chief Executive Officer in February 2016 and is responsible for strategic initiatives and ensuring the companies growth. He is an accomplished business leader with over two decades of experience in the Information Technology services industry. He has lived in the US, Singapore and worked for Fortune 100 organizations and brings extensive experience in Global Delivery, Business Operations and Business Development.
Prior to joining CCS, he was Vice President and Delivery Leader at Mphasis, a leading IT solutions provider, offering Applications, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Infrastructure services globally. He built sustainable relationships with CXOs of global customers and was responsible for providing high quality service over many years. Raj has been recognized and awarded as “Exemplary Business Leader” for his leadership and consistent focus on customer satisfaction.
Rohan is involved in strategic initiatives in the areas of Sales and Marketing, identifying new growth areas along with handling partnership, mergers and acquisitions. Rohan is leading various initiatives at CCS including branding and customer engagement with an aim of achieving customer excellence. At CCS, the focus has always been to quickly evolve in a world where technology enables new business models and ways to reach customers.
Rohan is also the Senior Vice president at Mr. Butler, Asia’s first home Sodamaker and Home appliance company, where he is responsible for marketing and corporate strategy.
Prior to this, Rohan spent 6 years in Melbourne, Australia, working with Crown Limited where he helped set up the group’s first consumer insights and marketing strategy departments. His responsibilities included providing insight and strategic direction to the company’s board that helped formulate decisions on multi-million dollar venue development and entertainment offerings. In the past, he has also worked with one of India’s largest media organizations as well as a boutique marketing consultancy firm.
Rohan completed his MBA in corporate strategy and marketing from Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne (2006) and BA at St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi (2001).

James Joseph is the founder of JackFruit365™- an initiative to create an organized market for Indian Jackfruits in India, 80 percent of which is reported to be wasted every year, and to create an engine to support free midday meal programs for poor children at schools.
James has over 18 years of sales and marketing experience in North America, Europe and India with globally reputed organizations like Microsoft, 3M and Ford. In his previous role as the Director, Executive Engagement at Microsoft India, he was responsible for strengthening Microsoft’s relationship with the senior executives of top 200 enterprises in India. Prior to this role, James was responsible for the manufacturing industry marketing for Microsoft, UK. Before joining Microsoft UK, he held business development, sales and marketing positions at 3M, Ford Motor Company, i2 Technologies and Informatica.
James is a recipient of several awards which include Circle of Excellence, the highest award for sales and marketing employees across the world at Microsoft, Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year at TiEcon Kerala 2013, New Age ICON d’ YOUTH Kerala 2011. In addition to this, James serves as a mentor for the Startup Village in Kochi.
During his work across three continents James had the rare opportunity to design Signature dining experiences for his clients with several internationally renowned Chefs, which helped him to develop JackFruit365™.
James is also an author and his first book “God’s Own Office- How One Man Worked for Microsoft from a Village in Kerala” got published by Penguin Books in October, 2014.
He has a Masters in Engineering Business Management from University of Warwick, UK, and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A chartered accountant with 32 years of experience in Indian conglomerates, Ravishankar has completed his article ship at A.F.Ferguson & co, Delhi, and continued working with them for two years (1978 to 1980) in the tax and audit department.
In 2013, he joined the Board of Advisors for Kemin Industries South Asia, a subsidiary of Kemin Industries Inc., US.

TATA MOTORS (1980 to 1982) – He spent two years here as a management auditor and risk management specialist.
ITC LTD(1982 to 1996) – Where he spent fourteen years and held various positions like Commercial Manager, Marketing Finance Controller for the Cigarette Division, Financial controller for the BAT JV at Nepal, Chief of Risk Management and Corporate Finance for Cigarette, Paper, Hotels, Exports and Financial services Divisions, and also as a member of the board for the Paper Business.
BPL COMMUNICATION LTD (1996 to 2002) – Here, he held various positions like Group CFO, President, COO and Executive Director on the Board of the holding company and the four subsidiaries.He was also a member of the compensation/appointments committee and Audit committee of the Board.
GMR group (2002 to 2004) – At GMR, he held the position of Group CFO. GMR is involved in power generation and development of airports and roads.
Allied Distillers and Blenders (2004 to 2007) – Here, he spent three years as CFO/ CEO. ADB is involved in manufacturing IMFL (Liquor) and its distribution. Focus was on developing new brands, strengthening and streamlining the Sales and Distribution Network, including corporate finance.
Akshaya Group (2008 to 2011) – He served for three years as a CEO. Akshaya is a developer of real estate in South India. The focus was mainly on building the brand, marketing and sales portfolios. He also played the role of a mentor to the young Group Chairman/ MD.
President & CEO, Kemin Industries South Asia Pvt. Ltd.
K.P Philip is the President and CEO for Kemin Industries South Asia Pvt. Ltd division, which is based in Chennai, India. He joined Kemin in 1998 with the responsibility of establishing the AgriFoods business in India.
After successfully establishing the business in India, he moved to Singapore to manage the AgriFoods business in the Asia Pacific region, including China. He was responsible for commissioning the plant in Zhuhai. In 2006, he took over as President of the newly demerged Food Technologies division of Kemin Industries, and was based in Belgium.
In early 2010, KP returned to India and took on his role as President of Kemin AgriFoods, India, where he oversees all AgriFoods operations in South Asia, which involves the development and commercialization of micro-ingredient technology, for the improvement of production of animal protein such as meat, milk and eggs.
In January 2016, he moved to Belgium to take on the responsibility for Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region for the AgriFood business for Kemin.
He has more than 30 years of professional experience in the agribusiness sector. Prior to joining Kemin, he managed a joint venture that processed spices for Tones Inc. based in the US.
He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Management Studies from India.
C. Balagopal enrolled for a PhD program at the Kerala University and worked there and at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum. Later, Balagopal was selected in the IAS and joined the Manipur cadre, and was appointed as a district official. In 1983, he decided to quit the service and his resignation was accepted by the Government later that year.
Good leadership, team work, and support from different agencies of the government helped the company grow fast, and in the process the company developed valuable competencies, especially in the “know why” aspect of medical device manufacturing.
With the opening up of the Indian economic policy, and the entry of foreign products into the Indian market, business in India started to change in many ways.
Bala wanted the company to scale new heights and reach new horizons, an MOU was signed with Terumo Corp., Japan, in June 1999 as an investor and global business partner, and Penpal became Terumo Penpal (TPL). Blood bags and equipment were exported to more than 50 countries across the globe.
In 2012, Balagopal sold his shareholding to Terumo Corp, and decided to step down as managing director in March 2013. He continued for a year as an advisor to help with the transition to a new management team, and in March 2014, ended that association too.
Balagopal wears multiple hats; he is currently the Director of Enter Technologies Pvt Ltd and the Chairman of Mobilexion, a medical technology company.
He is a Charter Member and first President of TiE Kerala. He is also a member of the Ethics Committee of Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology, Investment Promotion Board, Kerala and Technology Development Committee, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology. (This is under the Dept of Science & Technology, Govt of. India)
Balagopal now divides his time between mentoring and investing in start-up ventures, especially those engaged in healthcare, community development activities, and writing. He has written a book titled “On A Clear Day You Can See India”, published by Harper Collins in October 2013, and has just completed his second book. He is a sought after speaker on subjects ranging from business, healthcare, public health, entrepreneurship, and contemporary affairs.
His awards include Management Leadership Award of Trivandrum Management Association in 1990, National R&D Award for successful commercialization of Indigenous Technology by Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India in 1995, Winner of National Export Awards every year from 1994-95 onwards, Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award from Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation 2011, Business Excellence Award 2011 from The Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Adith is currently COO of Mr. Butler, Asia’s first manufacturer of the home, Sodamaker.
Prior to joining Mr. Butler Group of companies, Adith was an Associate Director in KPMG’s Management Consulting team in Melbourne. In his 10 plus years of consulting experience, his key areas of focus included cost optimization, strategic sourcing and procurement across multiple industries including mining, utilities, defense, consumer beverages and Government. Prior to KPMG, he was with the Management Consulting team at Ernst & Young in Melbourne and New Delhi.
Adith has completed his MBA from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne Business School (2004) and BA (Hons) Economics at St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi (1999)
